Spring is Already in Bloom on the Farm

There are so many beautiful signs of early spring on the farm. We have lots and lots of daffodils in four different varieties. One is very full and ruffled. We have showed it to some florists around town and they have never seen them before. Looks like another project, dig them up, divide them and replant them in new, weed free beds for next year.

We have had a good spring so far and although we can’t say the weeds are under control we can say we are making real progress. We are adding compost to the peonies, realigning the weed fabric weeding and getting ready to spread wood chips in the aisles.

As we remove the weeds, we are seeing a lot of buds, it is a beautiful sight!
